TM 9-2350-247-20-2 REPLACE TRANSMISSION SHIFT CONTROL SWITCH (M548A3) — Continued 0309 00 INSTALLATION C A U T I O N Handle the new switch assembly with care to avoid damaging the wires or switch. A damaged transmission shift control will prevent the engine from starting or shifting to the range needed. 1. If necessary, install preformed packing (3) on switch assembly (1). 2. Adjust shaft handle (4) on transmission shift control body (5) to align tab (2) with slot (7) before closing the switch assembly (1). 3. Align the pins (6) on transmission shift control body (5) with socket (8) on switch assembly (1). 4. Clean three socket head screws (1) and apply sealing compound to screw threads. 5. Install three socket head screws (1). 6. Use multimeter and continuity check table to check transmission shift control for proper operation. 0309 00-2
