TM 9-2350-247-20-2 REPLACE CARRIER BATTERIES (M548A3) — Continued 0293 00 2. Place retainers (1) over batteries. Attach two end nuts (2) and washers (3) on T-Bolts (4). Do not tighten. 3. Attach center clamp (5) to retainers (1). Align holes for center bolt (6) and washer (7). 4. Tighten two nuts (2) and center bolt (6). NOTE Carriers have four batteries. Two batteries are located on driver’s side. Two batteries are located on passenger’s side. The procedures to install and connect batteries for both sides are the same. 5. To connect batteries on passenger’s side: a. Attach jumper lead with terminals (8) to positive battery post (9) and negative battery post (10). Secure with two nuts (11). b. Attach lead (12) to terminal lug on positive battery post (13). Secure with nut (14). 0293 00-6
