TM 9-2350-247-20-2 REPLACE BATTERIES AND BATTERY COMPARTMENT (M548A1) — Continued 0290 00 REMOVAL WARNING Ventilate battery compartment before you connect or remove battery cables. Always disconnect negative lead first and connect it last. Don’t cause sparks. Hydrogen explosions can cause serious injury. Do not wear jewelry. It can get caught, cause electrical burns, or may cause electrocution. 1. Loosen nut (1). Remove circuit 7 lead (2) from battery (3) negative post. 2. Loosen nut (4). Remove circuit 2 lead (5) and circuit lead (6) from battery (7) positive post. 3. Loosen two nuts (8). Remove battery jumper lead (9) from battery (3), and battery (7). 0290 00-2
