TM 9-2350-247-20-2 REPLACE AIR CLEANER INDICATOR AND HOSE (M548A3) — Continued 0157 00 REMOVAL 1. Disconnect indicator hose (1) from tee (2) on outlet duct (3). 2. Remove six screws (4), washers (5), and clamps (6) from indicator hose (1). NOTE Do not discard gasket unless air cleaner indicator is being replaced. 3. Remove two nuts (7), four washers (8), and two screws (9) securing air cleaner indicator (10) to mounting plate (11). Remove gasket (12). 4. Disconnect indicator hose (1) from adapter (13) and remove adapter from elbow (14). 5. Remove elbow (14) from air cleaner indicator (10). CLEANING 1. Clean tapered pipe threads and apply a light coat of sealing compound. 2. Clean external threads of elbow and apply a light coat of antiseize compound. 3. Inspect elbows for damaged threads, cracks, or deformation. Replace items that show any of these defects. 4. Inspect filter adapter for damaged threads and filter screen. Replace air cleaner indicator and adapter if adapter shows either of these defects. 5. Inspect indicator hose for cracks and indication of collapse. Replace hose that shows either of these defects. 0157 00-2
