INITIAL SETUP: M a i n t e n a n c e L e v e l Unit T o o l s a n d S p e c i a l T o o l s General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (WP 0541 00, Item 57) M a t e r i a l s / P a r t s Lock nut Grease fitting Cotter pin P e r s o n n e l R e q u i r e d Unit Mechanic R e f e r e n c e s See your -10 E q u i p m e n t C o n d i t i o n Engine stopped (see your -10) Carrier blocked (see your -10) Power plant rear access panel removed (see your -10) Top access cover and grilles removed (see your -10) Cooling fan drive belt removed (WP 0227 00) Cooling fan idler pulley removed (WP 0229 00) REMOVAL 1. Remove cotter pin (1) and straight pin (2) from sleeve (3) and fan idler arm (4). Discard cotter pin. 2. Remove adjusting assembly (5) from fan idler arm (4). 3. Remove lock nut (6), washer (7), screw (8). and fan idler arm (4) from idler arm support (9). 4. Remove grease fitting (10) if required. 0232 00-1
