TM 9-2350-247-20-2 REPLACE COOLING FAN IDLER PULLEY (M548A3) — Continued 0229 00 INSPECTION 1. Inspect fan idler pulley for bent or cracked condition. Replace idler pulley that shows either of these defects. 2. Inspect bearings and pulley for rough or uneven rotation. Replace bearings and pulley if they show either of these defects. INSTALLATION 1. Assemble two bearings (1) and spacer (2) in pulley (3) and secure with two retaining rings (4). Use retaining ring pliers. 2. Install pulley (3) on idler arm (5) and secure with bolt (6), washer (7), and new lock nut (8). Tighten lock nut to 50-55 lb-ft (68-75 N•m). FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS 1. Install and adjust cooling fan drive belt (WP 0227 00). 2. Install top access cover and grilles (see your -10). 3. Install both power plant rear access panel/cover (see your -10).
