TM 9-2350-247-20-2 REPLACE ENGINE COOLANT PUMP DRIVE BELTS AND IDLER PULLEY (M548A1) — Continued 0223 00 INSTALLATION NOTE Drive belts must always be replaced as a matched set. 1. Place drive belts (5) on pulley (6) and pulley (7). 2. Place idler pulley (4) with coolant pump idler adjusting bracket (3) on engine. Secure with two washers (2) and screws (1). Do not tighten. 3. Adjust slack in drive belts (5) with coolant pump idler adjusting bracket (3). When adjusted, drive belts will move 3/8 inch (10 mm) when pressed by thumb midway between pulley (6) and pulley (7). 4. Tighten two screws (1) to 360-420 lb-in (41-47 N•m) torque. FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS 1. Start engine (see your -10). 2. Check engine coolant pump drive belts for proper operation. 3. Stop engine (see your -10). 4. Lower center seat (see your -10). END OF TASK 0223 00-2
