TM 9-2350-247-20-2 REPLACE RADIATOR AUXILIARY TANK (M548A3) — Continued 0217 00 INSTALLATION 1. Apply sealing compound to threads of elbow (3) and install elbow in auxiliary tank (6). NOTE Check to be sure elbow (9) and elbow (11) are installed in correct places in auxiliary tank (6). 2. Apply sealing compound to threads of adapter (24), elbow (9) and elbow (11). Install adapter elbows in auxiliary tank (6). 3. Install auxiliary tank (6), eight washers (21), four screws (20), and four new lock nuts (22) on radiator bulkhead (23). 4. Apply sealing compound to both sides of new gasket (19). Install gasket, filler neck (18), coolant filler cap (17), chain (16), and bracket (15) on auxiliary tank (6). Secure with four washers (14), new lock washers (13), and screws (12). 5. Install two clamps (7) on hose (8) and hose (10). Install hose (8) on elbow (9) and hose (10) on elbow (11). Tighten clamps. 6. Install hose (5) and two clamps (4) on bottom of auxiliary tank (6). Tighten clamps. 7. Install hose (2) and clamp (1) on elbow (3). Tighten clamp. FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS 1. Fill cooling system (WP 0214 00). 2. Install power plant rear access panel (see your -10). 3. Install top access cover and grilles (see your -10). END OF TASK 0217 00-4
