TM 9-2350-247-20-2 REPLACE AIR SEPARATOR TANK (M548A3) — Continued 0171 00 7. Remove six rubber spacers (15) from three brackets (16). Discard spacers if worn or damaged. 8. Loosen strap (17) and remove cap (18) from tube (19). Drain fuel into suitable container. Reinstall cap (18) and tighten strap (17). CLEANING 1. Clean external threads of screws and straight pipe fittings and apply a light coat of antiseize compound. 2. Clean tapered pipe fittings and apply a light coat of sealing compound. 3. Inspect fittings for distortion, damaged threads, and breaks. Replace fittings showing any of these defects. 4. Inspect T-bolt and trunnion assemblies for damaged threads and bands for cracks and breaks. Replace damaged parts. 0171 00-2
