INITIAL SETUP: M a i n t e n a n c e L e v e l Unit T o o l s a n d S p e c i a l T o o l s General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (WP 0541 00, Item 57) M a t e r i a l s / P a r t s Antiseize compound (WP 0542 00, Item 6) Sealing compound (WP 0542 00, Item 37) Rubber spacer Suitable container P e r s o n n e l R e q u i r e d Unit Mechanic R e f e r e n c e s See your -10 E q u i p m e n t C o n d i t i o n Engine stopped (see your -10) Carrier blocked (see your -10) Both battery negative leads disconnected (WP 0292 00) Top access cover and grilles removed (see your -10) REMOVAL 1. Disconnect two fuel pump to air separator tank tubes (1) from two elbows (2). 2. Disconnect return tube (3) from adapter (4). 3. Disconnect vehicle compartment heater tube (5) from tee (6). 4. Disconnect engine to tank return tube (7) from adapter (8). 5. Disconnect tank to engine fuel pump tube (9) from adapter (10). 6. Remove two T-bolt assembly nuts (11) from trunnions (12). Separate bands (13) and remove tank (14) from carrier. 0171 00-1
