TM 9-2350-247-20-2 REPLACE AIR SEPARATOR TANK (M548A1) — Continued 0170 00 CLEANING 1. Check air separator tank for leaks with air pressure test as follows: a. Connect air line to left inlet port of tank. Seal off other tank openings. b. Submerge tank in water. Apply 2 psi (14 kPa) air pressure through air line. If any leaks are found, replace tank. INSTALLATION NOTE For temporary or permanent repair of air separator tank, notify your supervisor. 1. Put light coat of sealing compound on male pipe threads. 2. Install four clamps (17) on four mounts (21). Secure clamps with four pins (20) and new cotter pins (19). 3. Install tank (18) in carrier. Secure with two T-bolts (15) and trunnions (16). Tighten t-bolt nut 12-18 lb-ft (16-24 N•m) torque. 0170 00-5
