TM 9-2350-247-20-2 REPLACE FUEL LEVEL TRANSMITTER — Continued 0169 00 INSTALLATION 1. Apply a light coat of sealing compound to both sides of new gasket (1) and new gasket (2). 2. Place new gasket (1) on transmitter (3) on outside of fuel compartment. Place new gasket (2) and bracket (4) on inside of fuel compartment. 3. Carefully install transmitter (3) in fuel tank with five screws (5) and new lock wire (6). 4. If transmitter (3) has rear support, install clamp (7), washer (8), and nut (9) on screw (10). 5. Connect circuit lead 28 (11) to transmitter (3). FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS 1. Connect battery negative lead(s) (WP 0292 00). 2. Start engine (see your -10). 3. Check fuel level transmitter for proper operation. 4. Stop engine (see your -10). 5. Install rear crossover fuel tube assembly (WP 0172 00) or (WP 0173 00). 6. Install right front fuel compartment access cover (WP 0163 00). 7. Lower three cargo compartment floor plates (WP 0393 00). 8. Fill fuel compartment (see your -10). END OF TASK 0169 00-3/4 blank
