Check that beam stops are in place on each end of I-beam. Replace missing stops. Inspect beam lock and trolley lock for proper operation. Stops missing. b. Inspect/check hoist chains and hook for evidence of wear, damage, bends, or distortions. Check for any grabbing or binding of chains. Bent hook or damaged chains. c. Check lifting sling. Webbing must be of uniform thickness. Inspect for evidence of chemical damage, snags, punctures, tears, cuts, and broken or worn stitching. Any evidence of damage. d.
