UNIVERSAL JOINTS. Every 150 hours, 1500 miles, or semiannually, lubricate all universal joints and propeller shaft bearings with grease (GAA) (6 places). Each universal joint spider has two fittings, but only one of each pair of fittings requires lubrication. WARNING Dry cleaning solvent burns easily, can cause skin rash, and can give off harmful vapors. To avoid injury, keep away from open fire and use in well-ventilated area. Wear protective clothing and rubber gloves. NOTE When grease fitting will not accept GAA, notify unit maintenance. 2. Clean fittings with dry cleaning solvent P-D-680 prior to lubrication.
