TM 9-2350-358-BD 13-14. INTERCOM SYSTEM, INOPERATIVE - CONTINUED Procedural Steps: CAUTION Do not crank or ring the field telephone because damage could occur to the AM-1780 and/or the entire AN/VIC-1 system. NOTE • If the AM-1780 is not operational, do steps 1, 2, and 5. • If one or more of the C-2298 control boxes becomes inoperable, but AM-1780 is still operational, do steps 2 through 5. 1. Run wire in a circle throughout vehicle so that all telephones are connected to the same wire. 2. Place TA-312 or TA-1 field telephones at station(s) where bad control boxes are located. 3. Run field telephone wire back to AM-1780. 4. Hook up WD-1/TT wire to "LINE" jacks of the AM-1780. 5. Record BDAR action taken. When mission is complete, as soon as practical, repair the equipment/system using standard maintenance procedures. 13-20
