Wrap each end of hose to be cut with tape. Squarely cut each end of damaged hose. Clean loose particles from ends of hose. WARNING Adhesives, solvents, and sealing compounds can burn easily, can give off harmful vapors, and are harmful to skin and clothing. To avoid injury or death, keep away from open fire and use it in well- ventilated area. If adhesive, solvent, or sealing compound gets on skin or clothing, wash Immediately with soap and water. 2. Spread a light coat of sealing compound on threads of adapter or tube. 3. Install adapter or tube into each end of hose. 4. Secure the hose on each end of adapter with two hose clamps. Position clamp screws 180 degrees to each other. 5. Record the BDAR action taken. When mission is complete, as soon as practical, repair the equipment/system using standard maintenance procedures.
