TM 9-2350-358-BD 5-13. FUEL LINE (LOW PRESSURE) RUPTURE - CONTINUED Procedural Steps: 1. Clean all dirt and grease from around the crack. WARNING Adhesives, solvents, and sealing compounds can burn easily, can give off harmful vapors, and are harmful to skin and clothing. To avoid injury or death, keep away from open fire and use in well- ventilated area. If adhesive, solvent, or sealing compound gets on skin or clothing, wash immediately with soap and water. 2. Coat the crack with sealant. 3. Wrap tubing with a sheet of fuel resistant material. 4. Clamp the sheet, directly over the crack. 5. If clamps are not available, wrap the tubing with tape. 6. Wrap wire around the tape as re-enforcement. 7. Wrap an additional coating of tape over the wire. 8. Record the BDAR action taken. When the mission is complete, as soon as practical, repair the equipment/system using standard maintenance procedures.
