When the mission is complete, as soon as practical, repair the equipment/system using the standard maintenance procedures. 4-7. THROTTLE LINKAGE BROKEN WARNING Some procedures may expose personnel to extreme heat. Care should be taken to protect personnel by whatever means available. General Information: Throttle linkage broken. The travel lock is heavy and is not counterbalanced. This expedient is good for a limited period and vehicle should be driven at low speeds. Engine speed should be kept above 1725 RPM. Diesel engines are designated to operate at high RPM. Limitations: Reduced speed and maneuverability, possible crew injury.
