Inspection Tools Sealing compound (item 29, Appx B) Artillery and turret mechanic’s tool kit (SC 5180-95-CL-A12) References TM 9-214 Materials/Parts Equipment Condition Grease (item 21, Appx B) Bracket and housing group removed (para 6-18) a. Disassembly 1 Remove three flat setscrews (1) and three cup point setscrews (2) from bracket (3). 2 Remove bracket (3) from control cam (4). 3 Withdraw control cam (4) from housing (5). 4 Remove four machine screws (6) and four flat washers (7). 5 Remove ball bearing (8). 6 Remove two headless straight pins (9) from housing (5). 7 Remove headless straight pin (10) from control cam (4). 8 Remove decal (11) if damaged. b. Inspection 1 Inspect control cam (4) for burrs and smooth any found. 2 Inspect ball bearing (8) (TM 9-214). 3 Inspect inside surface of housing (5). Repair if scratched or burred. 4 Inspect bracket (3). Replace if cracked, distorted, or damaged. 6-94 Change 2
