Assembly INITIAL SETUP Tools Hydraulic axial parts kit (item 149, Appx E) Artillery and turret mechanic’s tool kit (Sc 5180-95-CL-A12) References TM 9-214 Materials/Parts Equipment Condition Key washer (item 154, Appx E) Hydraulic pumping unit removed (para 6-14) Lockwashers (4) (item 82, Appx E) Hand pump crank removed (para 6-17) a. Disassembly 1 Remove three washer assembled screws (1) and cover (2) from access cover (3). 2 Disengage tab of key washer (4) from slot in round nut (5). 3 Remove round nut (5) and key washer (4). Discard key washer. NOTE Inner ball bearing and sleeve spacer may come out with cover retainer, pump shouldered shaft, and ball bearing group. 4 Remove cover retainer, pump shouldered shaft, and ball bearing group (6) from hand pump housing (7). 5 Remove four machine bolts (8), four lockwashers (9), and access cover (3). Discard Iockwashers. 6 Remove eight pump retainers (10). 7 Remove and discard eight piston helical springs (11), eight piston spring guides (12), and eight piston helical springs (13). 8 Remove eight pistons (14). 6-76
