PAGE TM 9-2350-311-34-1 APPENDIX E TORQUE LIMITS GENERAL This appendix provides general wet torque limits for screws used on the M109A2/M109A3/M109A4/M109A5 Howitzer. Specific torque limits are indicated in the maintenance procedures for applicable components. The general torque limits given in this appendix shall be used when specific torque limits are not provided in the maintenance procedure. These general torque limits cannot be applied to screws that retain rubber components; the rubber components will be damaged before the correct torque limit is reached. If a specific torque limit is not provided for screws that contain rubber components in the maintenance procedure, tighten the screw or nut until it touches the metal bracket, then tighten it 1 more turn. This appendix also provides information on tightening metal fasteners, fastener size and thread pattern, and fastener grade.
