WARNING b. Installation TM 9-2350-311-34-1 Dry-cleaning solvent (P-D-680) is toxic and flammable. Wear protective goggles and gloves and use only in a well-ventilated area. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothes. Do not breath vapors. Do not use near open flame or excessive heat. The flashpoint for type #1 is 100°F (38°C), and for type #2 is 138°F (59°C). If you become dizzy while using dry-cleaning solvent, get fresh air immediately and obtain medical aid. If contact with eyes is made, wash your eyes with water and obtain medical aid immediately. • CARC paint contains isocyanate, a constituent that can cause respiratory effects during and after the application of the material. CARC paint may produce itching and reddening of the skin, a burning sensation of the throat and nose, and watering of the eyes. Refer to TM 9-2350-311-20-1 for complete handling instructions. Adhesives are toxic and flammable. Apply adhesives only in a well-ventilated area. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothes, and don’t breath vapors. Do not use near heat, sparks, or open flame. Read and follow all warnings and instructions on labels of adhesives. If contact with skin or eyes is made, wash area with water and seek medical aid immediately. 1 Clean pad mounting surfaces thoroughly with dry-cleaning solvent and remove all old pad and adhesive residue. 2 Using paint remover or sand paper, remove all paint from mounting surface. 3 Apply adhesive and install new pads (1 thru 4) as required.
