Installation INITIAL SETUP Tools Artillery and turret mechanic’s tool kit (SC 5180–95–CL–A12) Materials/Parts Cotter pin (item 38, Appx G) Cotter pins (2) (item 40, Appx G) Spring pin (item 13, Appx G) Spring pins (2) (item 18, Appx G) a. Removal 1 Remove six cap screws (1) from mount support (2). 2 Lift mount support (2) off commander’s cupola (3). b. Disassembly 1 Remove two cotter pins (4) and discard. Remove headless pin (5) from mount support (2). 2 Remove quick-release pin (6) and pintle chain assembly (7) to remove rig connecting link (8) between brackets (9) at bottom of mount support (2). 3 Remove cotter pin (10), cover (11), and spiral torsion spring (12). Discard cotter pin. 4 Remove spring pin (13), two spring pins (14), and manual control lever (15) from mount support (2). Discard spring pins. 1 2 3
