Installation INITIAL SETUP Applicable Configuration M109A2/M109A3 howitzers Tools Artillery and turret mechanic’s tool kit (SC 5180–95–CL–A12) Equipment Condition Disconnect batteries (TM 9–2350–311–10) a. Removal 1 Remove hex nut (1), flat washer (2), and wire 819B (3) at electrical contact assembly (4). 2 Remove electrical contact arm assembly (4) from traversing mechanism (5). b. Installation 1 Install electrical contact assembly (4) in traversing mechanism (5). 2 Install wire 819B (3), flat washer (2), and hex nut (1) on traversing mechanism (5). 1 2 3 4 5
