Installation INITIAL SETUP Tools Artillery and turret mechanic’s tool kit (SC 5180–95–CL–A12) Materials/Parts Lockwashers (20 or 23) (item 86, Appx G) a. Removal NOTE • Tag all protective shields before removal for identification during installation. • Vehicles with 3-contact arms have two 3-hole and two 7-hole protective shields. Vehicles with 5-contact arms have three 3-hole and two 7-hole protective shields. 1 Remove protective shields (1) by removing three cap screws (2), three lockwashers (3) and three flat wash- ers (4) for each protective shield. Discard lockwashers. 2 Pull protective shields (1) down and out to remove. 3 Replace three cap screws (2) and three flat washers (4) for each protective shield in their original cab holes to support wiring harnesses. 1 2 4 3 WIRING HARNESS
