TM 9-2350-311-20-1 7 8 9 10 Remove (located inside hull) cotter pin (19), adjusting nut (20), locking lever (21 ), woodruff key (22), Iockspring (23), and washer (24). Discard cotter pin and Iockspring. Remove (located outside hull) locking cam (25), spring washer (26), two flat washers (27), and sleeve bearing (28). Discard spring washer. Remove six screws (29) and cover seal (30). Scrape off old sealant from seal ring (hatch opening) (31 ). Discard seal. WARNING Dry-cleaning solvent (P-D-680) is toxic and flammable. Wear protective goggles and gloves and use only in a well-ventilated area. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothes, and don’t breathe vapors. Do not use near open flame or excessive heat. The flashpoint for type #1 is 100°F (38°C), and for type #2 is 138°F (59°C). If you become dizzy while using dry-cleaning solvent, get fresh air immediately and get medical aid. If contact with eyes is made, wash your eyes with water and get medical aid immediately. Remove preformed packing (32). Clean groove with dry-cleaning solvent. Discard preformed packing. 11-19
