Disconnect two leads 519 of bulkhead-to- driver’s instrument panel wiring harness from HI-BEAM indicator light. Place red lead of multimeters in one lead 519 and black lead to ground. Turn MASTER switch ON, main light switch to SER. DRIVE, depress dimmer switch, and check for voltage. Place red lead of multimeters in other lead 519 and black lead to ground. Turn MASTER switch ON, main light switch to SER. DRIVE, depress dimmer switch, and check for voltage. Turn MASTER and main light switches OFF. Is voltage present? I Replace HI-BEAM indicator light assembly (para 8-17). 1 1. Reconnect two leads 519 of bulkhead-to- 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. driver’s instrument panel wiring harness leads to HI-BEAM indicator light. Disconnect bulkhead-to-driver’s instrument panel wiring harness from dimmer switch. Place red lead of multimeters on pin C (lead 514/51 5) and black lead on pin D (lead 51 9). Depress dimmer switch and check for continuity. Place red lead of multimeter on pin G (lead 16) and black lead on pin H (lead 519); Depress dimmer switch and check for I continuity. I Is continuity present? Repair or replace two leads 519 of bulkhead-to-driver’s instrument panel wiring harness (para 8-50). Replace headlight dimmer switch (para 8-37). END OF TASK 3-283
