TM 9-2350-274-BD ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Procedural Steps (Cont): 3. Disconnect electrical connector (item 1) from relay. 4. Using jumper lead connect sockets A and C together. The jumper lead must be wedged into the female sockets of connector to prevent them from vibrating out of the sockets. NOTE If uninsulated material is used for jumper, wrap with electrical tape to prevent electrical short. 5. Record the BDAR action taken. When mission is completed, as soon as practicable, repair vehicle using standard maintenance procedures. 6-9. STARTER MOTOR, RELAY FAILURE General Information Starter motor will not engage due to starter motor relay failure. Insertion of jumper lead will energize starter motor. If non-insulated material is used for jumper, use an insulating material to hold jumper lead. If engine is shut down this procedure must be repeated.
