The following special terms are used in this manual: Term Definition Doppler Effect ..................... The change in the observed frequency of an electro- magnetic wave due to relative motion of source and observer. Doppler Radar ..................... A radar that makes use of the Doppler shift of an echo due to relative motion of target and radar to differentiate between fixed and moving targets and measure target velocities. Microstrip.............................
