Use pinned tubular wrench (fig. E-1, appx E) to remove externally threaded ring (13), washer (14), and worm shaft cap (15). Discard washer (14). 9 8 Loosen setscrew (16). Remove machine thread plug (17), spring (18), sleeve bush- ing (19), worm shaft (20), and ball socket seat (21 ). Remove two screws (22), knob (23), scale dial (24), pin (25), adapter (26), washer (27), and index (28). Discard washer. 3-14
