ARMY TM 9-1290-262-24&P MARINE CORPS TM 00476C-24&P AIR FORCE TO 49A7-3-72/74 DISASSEMBLY NOTE Ensure that compass lock-release lever is in LOCKED position. 1 Hold cover (1) in open position. 2 Press in on locking plate (2). NOTE Do not remove screws from base plate assembly at this time. 3 Unscrew three screws (3). 4 Remove base plate (4) from aiming circle (5). 5 6 Remove two screws (6), knob (7), and micrometer scale dial (8). NOTE If adapter has two notches, scribe a line marking the notch that mates with the tab. Remove pin (9), adapter (10), and 17 stop rings (11). 3-13
