Move eyepiece arm (2) from stop to stop. a. Repair lock-release lever (ref. para 3-13). b. Replace bellows assembly (ref. para 3-13). KNOBS (3) ON WORMSHAFT ASSEMBLY BIND. Rotate knobs (3) on wormshaft assembly. Repair wormshaft assembly (ref. para 3-15). RETICLE (4) OR LEVEL VIAL (5) ARE NOT lLLUMl- NATED. Turn variable resistor knob (6). a. b. c. Replace incandescent lamp for Ml 18A2 (ref. para 3-17) for cover assembly and para 3-19 for level). Replace circuit board assembly for M118A3 (ref. para 3-18 for level). Replace variable resistor (ref. para 3-13). LEVEL (5) HAS NO BUBBLE. Observe visually. Repair level assembly, M118A2 (ref. para 3-19). Repair level assembly, M118A3 (ref. para 3-18). LENS (7) IS FOGGED OR CONDENSATION IS PRESENT. Observe visually. Purge and charge M118A2/M118A3 elbow telescope (TM 750-116).
