TM 9-1240-401-34&P Item No. Item To Be Inspected Procedures 9 CORRECTION COUNTERS a. Turn correction knob (6) clockwise to stop and check that upper correction counter registers at least 55 mils. Turn correction knob counterclockwise to stop and check that lower correction counter registers at least 55 mils. b. Turn correction knob (6) clockwise to register 25 mils on upper correction counter. Check that reading on elevation counter (8) is reduced 25 + 0.2 mils. Turn correction counter clockwise to register 50 mils on upper correction counter. Check that reading on elevation counter is reduced 50 + 0.2 mils. Turn correction knob counterclockwise to register 25 and 50 mils, respectively, on lower correction counter. Check that reading on elevation counter increases 25 + 0.2 and 50 + 0.2 mils, respectively. c. Check that all numerals aline within 1/16 inch (1.588 mm). Change 1 5.1-9
