Location and description of major components. 5. Index, pages INDEX–1 through INDEX–6: Alphabetical listing of information. Maintenance Text and Illustrations (Chapter 2 through 6) 1. Maintenance procedures are to be performed in the sequence shown in the text and illustrations. Step 1 must be performed before Step 2. Procedure a must be performed before Procedure b, and so on. 2. Equipment illustrations use numbers to identify parts of the system/components. Example: 1. Remove both wiring harnesses (1) and (2). 2. Remove four screws (3), four flat washers (4), four lockwashers (5), and four nuts (6). REPAIR P ARTS LIST Repair Parts List is contained in Appendix C of this manual. How to locate parts: D Identify the item on the applicable figure and note the item number. Refer to the applicable parts list and use the item number as the locator. D Determine part number of the item from the parts list. A cross reference of part numbers and figure num- bers is located after the last figure in Appendix C.
