Severe injury or death may result. 1. Prime lifter(s) (4) by submerging in clean diesel fuel or kerosene and working plunger (71 up and down on pushrod (6). 2. Apply lubricating oil to lifter(s) (41. 3. Install lifter(s) (4) into cylinder block (5). 4. Install guide plate(s) (3) on lifter(s) (4). 5. Install guide plate clamp (2) on cylinder block (5) with capscrew (1). Tighten capscrew (I) to 15-20 lb-ft (20-27 Nom). 15-18
