.WARNING. Left front underbody armor is extremely heavy and must be supported during removal and installation. Failure to do so may result in injury to personnel or damage to equipment. NOTE Installing a new left front underbody armor requires match drilling of the underbody to the vehicle. In addition, the driver’s side footwell left inner and outer liners will have to be replaced. 1. Install driver’s side footwell outer armor (5) and spacer (6) on left A-beam armor (4) with six capscrews (7). Tighten capscrews (7) to 35 lb-ft (47 N•m). 2. Using A-pillar armor (1) as a template, drill one 13/32-in. (10.3 mm) diameter hole from A-pillar armor (1) through driver’s side footwell outer armor (5). NOTE Capscrews in steps 3 and 5 are installed in darkened hole locations in A-pillar armor. 3. Install one capscrew (2) and locknut (3) through A-pillar armor (1) and driver’s side footwell outer armor (5). Tighten locknut (3) to 35 lb-ft (47 N•m). 4. Using A-pillar armor (1) as a template, match-drill twenty-five 13/32 in. (10.3 mm) diameter holes from A-pillar armor (1) through driver’s side footwell outer armor (5). 5. Install eleven capscrews (2) and locknuts (3) through A-pillar armor (1) and driver’s side footwell outer armor (5). Tighten locknuts (3) to 35 lb-ft (47 N•m). a.
