Install filler spout hose (17) on tank (181 and tighten clamp (16). Apply sealing compound to threads of fuel supply tube (12). Install and align fuel supply tube (123 on access cover (11). Apply sealing compound to threads of fuel return tube (33). Install and align fuel return tube (33) on access cover (111. NOTE Perform step 6 if vehicle is equipped with vehicular heater and auxiliary fuel line. Apply sealing compound to threads of fuel supply tubes (13). Install and align two fuel supply tubes (13) on access cover (11). Install grommet (31 and vent valve (4) on access cover (111. Install fuel strainer (14) on fuel supply tube (121. Apply adhesive to threads of ten locknuts (9). Install retainer (321, gasket (151, and access cover (111 on fuel tank (18) with nine washers (101 and locknuts (9). Tighten locknuts (9) to 72 lb-in. (8 Nom). Connect jumper harness leads 28B (1) and 585 (2) to fuel level sender (34). Apply adhesive to threads of two locknuts (7).
