REFERENCE INFORMATION 220°F (104%) is the approximate temperature at which the fan should turn itself on. The fan will turn on and off as the engine temperature varies. - i If the leaking fluid is red, go to the transmission, para. 2-40. page 2-385. If the leaking fluid is yellow/green. go to engrne cooling, para. 2-31, page 2-159. If the oil cooler is leaking, try to determine where the leak is coming from. The oil cooler in front of the radiator cools both engine oil and transmission fluid (top-half transmission fluid, bottom-half engine oil).
