Maintenance Level Unit p7iziq 1. Remove cotter pin (1) and slotted nut (8) from idler arm (7) and center link (2). Discard cotter pin (1). 2. Using puller, disconnect center link (2) from idler arm (71. 3. Remove two nuts (61, washers (4), capscrews (3), washers (41, and idler arm (7) from frame (5). b. Installation 1. Install idler arm (7) on frame (5) with two washers (41, capscrews (3), washers (4)‘ and nuts (6). Tighten nuts (6) to 60 lb-ft (81 N=m). 2. Install idler arm (7) on center link (2) with slotted nut (8). Tighten slotted nut (8) to 80 lb-ft (108 N-m). CAUTION Do not loosen slotted nut to install cotter pin. Doing this may result in damage to equipment. 3. Install cotter pin (1) in slotted nut (8). 8-46
