4. Rotate housing (2) so front pinion bearing cup bore faces up. 5. Lubricate outside diameter of front pinion bearing cup (1) with lubricating oil. Using driver handle and front pinion bearing cup installer, install cup (1) in housing (2). NOTE If repairing P/N 5593882, perform steps 6 through 22. If repairing P/N 12342615, perform steps 23 through 30. 6. Rotate housing (2) 180°. Lubricate outside diameter of rear pinion bearing cup (3) with lubricating oil. NOTE If the pinion shim is beveled, be sure the beveled side faces bottom of bearing cup bore. 7. Using driver handle and rear pinion bearing cup installer, install “starter shim” (4) and rear pinion bearing cup (3) in housing (2). 19-3.
