TM 9-2320-280-20-2 5-12 Change 2 5-4. TRANSMISSION BYPASS VALVE REPLACEMENT This task covers: a. Removal b. Installation a. Removal b. Installation 1. Loosen hose clamps (1) and (8) on rubber hoses (2) and (9). NOTE Have drainage container ready to catch fluid. 2. Disconnect rubber hoses (2) and (9) from bypass valve (3). 3. Remove nut (7), washer (5), capscrew (4), washer (5), and bypass valve (3) from transmission crossmember (6). 1. Install bypass valve (3) on transmission crossmember (6) with washer (5), capscrew (4), washer (5), and nut (7). Tighten nut (7) to 28 lb-ft (38 N•m). 2. Connect hoses (2) and (9) to bypass valve (3) and tighten clamps (1) and (8).
