3-71. LOWER RADIATOR HOSE REPLACEMENT This task covers: a. Removal b. Installation a. Removal 1. Loosen two clamps (2) and remove lower radiator hose (3) from radiator (1) and lower tube assembly (4). 2. Remove two clamps (2) from hose (3). INITIAL SETUP: Tools General mechanic’s tool kit: automotive (Appendix B, Item 1) Manual References TM 9-2320-280-24P Equipment Condition Cooling system drained (para. 3-60). b. Installation 1. Install two clamps (2) to hose (3). 2. Install lower radiator hose (3) on lower tube assembly (4) and radiator (1) with two clamps (2). NOTE Vehicles may be equipped with either spring clamps and/or conventional clamps. 3. Tighten spring clamps (2) to 90 lb-in. (10 N•m). Tighten conventional clamps (2) to 40 lb-in. (5 N•m).
