TM 9-2320-280-20-1 REFERENCE INFORMATION TRANSMISSION SYSTEM (3L80) lf the drivetrain system checks out OK, the problem is either the transmission itself, the shifter or the modulator. The DRIVETRAIN tests are located in (para. 2-38) of this manual. Make sure that the detents in the shifter correspond to the shift posittions shown on the plate. Have an assistant move the shifter and look to see that the linkage is moving at the transmission. Linkage repair and adjustment procedures are shown in (para. 5-12). Look for a modulator problem if fhe vehicle was not shifting, or wee not shifting as well as it should be. NOTE Run the BRAKES and DRIVETRAIN tests in this manual. If you don’t find any faults, notify DS maintenance. 2-405
