Because of the various classification systems used by dif- ferent countries, foreign railcars are not easily classified. In addition, clearances vary from country to country; therefore, evaluation of transportability capability must be made for each country. 7-10. Transport on Foreign-Service Flatcars a. General. The vehicle can be transported on a number of foreign railcars. b. Materials. The materials required for blocking and tiedown of the HMMWV are essentially the same as those used in CONUS. For general reference, refer to figures 7-1 through 7-5. Guidance for loading the HMMWVs on foreign railcars can be obtained from the Cdr, 1st Transportation Movement Control Agency, ATTN: AEUTR-MCA-TA, Oberursel, Germany. 7-8
