TM 9-2320-366-34-4 (2) Remove two screws (5) from thrust plate (6). CAUTION Use extreme care when removing camshaft to prevent damage to camshaft journals and lobes. Failure to comply may result in damage to equipment. (3) Remove thrust plate (6) and camshaft (7) from cylinder block (8). NOTE • Perform steps (4) and (5) if camshaft bearings fail inspection or if camshaft is being replaced. • Note location of camshaft bearing joints and bearing oil holes during removal. (4) Remove No. 1 camshaft bearing (9) from cylinder block (8). (5) Remove six camshaft bearings (10) from cylinder block (8). 20-51
