TM 9-2320-366-34-3 16-84. M1089 LOWER CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT/REPAIR (CONT) NOTE • All four solenoid valves are disassembled the same way. One solenoid valve shown. • Note position of retaining plates prior to removal. (12) Remove two screws (13), washers (14), and retaining plate (15) from lower control valve assembly (2). (13) Remove seal retainer (16) and pressure tube (17) from solenoid (18). (14) Remove seal retainer (16) from pressure tube (17). NOTE Note position of seals and packings prior to removal. (15) Remove preformed packing (19) from seal retainer (16). Discard preformed packing. (16) Remove two seals (20) from piston (21). Discard two seals. (17) Remove preformed packing (22) from flange (23). Discard preformed packing. 16-516 Change 1
