TM 9-2320-366-34-3 16-78. M1089 STIFFLEG ASSEMBLY REPAIR (CONT) CAUTION Cap or plug hydraulic hoses and fittings to prevent contamination of hydraulic system. Failure to comply may result in damage to equipment. NOTE Left and right side pay-out hydraulic motors are removed the same way. Left side shown. (2) Position drain pan under pay-out hydraulic motor (3). (3) Disconnect two hoses (4) from pay-out hydraulic motor (3). (4) Remove two bolts (5), washers (6), and pay-out hydraulic motor (3) from spooler weldment (7). NOTE Left and right side stiffleg assemblies are disassembled the same way. Left side shown. (5) Remove two lock pins (8) from sandshoe (9). (6) Remove two self-locking nuts (10), six washers (11), two screws (12), and sandshoe (9) from stiffleg (13). Discard self-locking nuts. (7) Remove two self-locking nuts (14), four washers (15), two screws (16), and gladhand bracket (17) from spooler weldment (7). Discard self-locking nuts. 16-468
