Failure to comply may result in injury to personnel or damage to equipment. • Prior to installing retaining pin and retaining pins covers, ensure upper arm is properly balanced. Failure to comply may result in injury to personnel. CAUTION Use care not to damage threaded portion on ends of retaining pin. Failure to comply may result in damage to equipment. NOTE Step (1) requires the aid of an assistant. (1) Position upper arm (1) on folding boom frame (2) with retaining pin (3). (2) Position upper arm (1) on support (4) with two pin retaining covers (5), washers (6), lockwashers (7), and screws (8). (3) Tighten two screws (8) to 105-115 lb-ft (142-156 N·m). 16-454
