TM 9-2320-366-34-3 16-74. M1089 LEFT LOWER ARM ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT/REPAIR (CONT) b. Disassembly. (1) Remove inner arm (1) from outer arm (2). (2) Remove bushing (3) from inner arm (1). (3) Remove grease fitting (4) from inner arm (1). (4) Remove self-locking nut (5) and washer (6) from pin retainer (7). Discard self-locking nut. (5) Remove self-locking nut (8), screw (9), washer (10), and chain (11) from pin retainer (7). Discard self-locking nut. (6) Remove bushing (12) from outer arm (2). (7) Remove grease fitting (13) from outer arm (2). c. Cleaning/Inspection. NOTE Replace any part that fails visual inspection. (1) Inspect two bushings (1) for burrs, scoring and wear. (2) Inspect inner arm (2) and outer arm (3) for damage, wear, ease of movement, and/or distortion. 16-444
