TM 9-2320-366-34-3 16-65. 30K WINCH RELIEF VALVE REPLACEMENT/REPAIR (CONT) WARNING Wear appropriate eye protection when performing pressure checks. Failure to comply may result in oil getting into eyes. If oil contacts eyes, seek medical attention immediately. Failure to comply may result in injury to personnel. NOTE Steps (11) through (18) require the aid of an assistant. (11) Position LH free spool switch to ON (TM 9-2320-366-10- 2). (12) Position and hold LH winch control valve handle to IN (TM 9-2320-366-10-2). (13) Perform STE/ICE-R Test #51 (TM 9-4910-571-12&P). (14) Observe pressure of 2925-2975 PSI (20,168-20,513 kPa). (15) Loosen lock nut (6) on 30K winch relief valve adjusting screw (7). (16) If pressure is low, turn 30K winch relief valve adjusting screw (7) clockwise to increase pressure. (17) If pressure is high, turn 30K winch relief valve adjusting screw (7) counterclockwise to decrease pressure. (18) Perform steps (12) through (17) as required. NOTE Hold 30K winch relief valve adjusting screw while tightening lock nut. (19) Tighten lock nut (6) on 30K winch relief valve adjusting screw (7). 16-392 Change 1
